EDUCATION

CCBC's Associate degree programs in Education prepare students to enter the workforce or transfer to four-year colleges or universities to major in early childhood, elementary, middle, or secondary education. Our diploma and certificate programs provide specific skills.

All education students participate in field experience and observation hours. In order to do so in the state of Pennsylvania, the following background checks are required:

  • PA State Polilce Request for Criminal Records Check (Act 34)
  • Department of Public Welfare Child Abuse History Clearance (Act 151)
  • Federal Criminal History Record Information (CHRI) in a manner prescribed by the Department of Education

The procedure for obtaining these three reports can be accessed at the PA Department of Education website at www.pde.state.pa.us or by contact the CCBC Education faculty.
