TUITION AND FEES

CCBC is the smart choice for an affordable, yet quality education in Beaver County. Costs for credit classes at CCBC are calculated on a per-credit basis. In addition, some classes have fees for materials or lab use. A General Student Fee of $11 and a $13 Technolgy Fee per credit is also applied to each class. Tuition also varies depending on your permanent residence.

Credit Courses
Beaver County Students - $92.50 per credit
Other Pennsylvania Students - $185.00 per credit (+$20 per credit Capital Fee)
Out-of-State Students & International Students - $277.50 per credit (+$40 per credit Capital Fee)

Additional fees may apply.

Residency
Where a student permanently lives determines his or her tuition charges at CCBC. Any permanent resident of Beaver County is classified as a "resident" and is eligible for in-county tuition rates.

To be considered a Pennsylvania resident, a student must maintain continuous residence in the state for a period of 12 months prior to registration as a student. The tuition for in-state students is double the in-county rate.

International Students are charged out-of-state tuition and fees.

At the time of registration and tuition payment, all students are required to "proof of residency," which includes a PA driver's license, proof of payment of local wage tax or school tax, or other documents determined or approved by the Registrar.

Non-Credit Courses
The tuition for non-credit courses are based upon the direct costs required to offer the program to the public. As a result, the cost of a particular class is dependent on the length as well as the instructional requirements. Several non-credit classes have additional costs for lab fees.

GED
While CCBC offers free GED pre-testing and information, the cost to take the GED Exam is $60.

Paying Your Tuition
The Cashier's Office is the billing and collection point for all student accounts. It issues invoices, receives payments, and post changes and credits to student accounts.

Conveniently, all tuition and fees are due prior to the start of classes. Your tuition can be paid with cash, check, money order, or American Express, Discover, MasterCard, or Visa. A Loan for Tuition Payment Plan is also available to students. Contact the Financial Aid Office at 724-480-3501 for details.

Refund Policies
Credit - Students withdrawing from credit courses are eligible for the following tuition refunds:

100% - withdrawal prior to the end of the first week of the semester

50% - withdrawal prior to the end of the second week of the semester.

No Refund - withdrawal after the 2nd week of the semester 100% - the class is cancelled by CCBC

Refunds are made on the basis of tuition and fee charges. For summer sessions, the refund policy is prorated on the length of the term.

Refunds will only be made after a written withdrawal is processed through the Student Records Office. Please allow at least four weeks processing of refund checks.

Non-Credit - To receive a full tuition refund, written notification must be submitted to the Continuing Education Division following the first class session.
